Tonic, Circulatory

Definition of Tonic, Circulatory:

A restorative which improves the tone of circulatory system, restoring energy and strength to the entire debilitated system, by imperceptibly stimulating vital functions [Culbreth1927, pg 38], with a sure, long lasting effect [Sanchez BOTM680].

Have to take for a long period of time but get a long term benefit [Palmer2004].

Is this the same thing as a cardiovascular tonic? [ORWJr].
